THE TOURNAMENT
HISTORY
The Punta del Este ATP Challenger was held continuously between 1993 and 1997,
with its sixth edition in 1999. In all cases, the tournament took place at the Cantegril Country Club and brought together top tennis players from the region.
THE CLUB
The Cantegril Country Club is a sporting emblem for Punta del Este and Uruguay as a whole. In tennis, it has hosted every Punta del Este Challenger ever played, many Davis Cup ties, and countless local and international junior circuit tournaments.
